What does the job entail?
The Answer

Clinical, personal and social care duties, along with supporting our client to facilitate their wishes

How is this different to working in domiciliary care?
The Answer

We offer a nurse led service that allows us to facilitate our clients wishes. Our services are NHS funded meaning that our clients’ needs are sufficient to meet healthcare funding thresholds. So much of our care is to provide the appropriate clinical support alongside supporting people to live in their own homes

What type of training do you provide?
The Answer

We provide comprehensive training on all aspects of the role. This includes nationally recognised and accredited courses

What training is required to ensure I am competent to do the job?
The Answer

More and more of our staff are formalising their skills & expertise by undertaking QCF qualifications (old NQV equivalents) . ICCM supports this as we recognise the value of formal care qualificatons

Is there a limit to the training I can complete?
The Answer

No…If you have a great thirst for knowledge then we will ensure we fulfil that thirst!

How do you supervise staff?
The Answer

We’ve designed supervision and appraisal processes for all levels within our business. Feedback is given individually and in a timely manner.

How much do I get paid?
The Answer

During 2015, we will be changing our staff to work on a fixed hours contract…NOT a zero hours contract. We pay hourly and have different pay rates for working through the night

How often do I get paid?

You will be paid monthly

What type of contracts do you offer?

During 2015, we will be offering Fixed Hours Contracts for our permanent employees

In general you will work with one client. Occasionally you may work across different clients within the same region.

How many different clients will I work with?
The Answer

Our services create bespoke & tailored care packages for individual clients. Much of your work may be supporting single individuals. However, you may also be asked to support in other teams when cover is needed or new clients join ICCMs’ services
