Our History

ICCM has provided complex care services since 1997.  Please see the information below about the history of the company

1997

Company founded by Zerina Yerrell.  Zerina was a registered nurse who had from 1995 cared for a tetraplegic, ventilator-dependent client in hospital and realised that personalised specialist care in the home could make a big difference to their life choices.  Inspired by her experiences with this client, Zerina started Independent Community Care Management Ltd in Kettering

1999

The company moves to new offices in Eskdaill Street, Kettering to accommodate supporting more complex clients

2003

ICCM celebrates its support of its 50th complex care client – providing services in the South and East Midlands

ICCM moves to its current Head Office on Kettering Venture Park

ICCM starts up a separate specialist training company to help ensure that its staff (and others) receive the best training possible

2005

ICCM introduces electronic care records to help manage its clients’ care plans over many different locations

2008

Business grows to have a staffing compliment of over 250 people

2010

ICCM recognised in national awards as a leading care employer in coming 3rd overall in the ‘Top 100 Independent Healthcare Providers’ awards

2011

Living Bridge (previously ISIS Equity Partners) invest in ICCM, providing capital and management support to allow the company to provide services in new geographical areas

2012

ICCM client, Matt King OBE, carries the Olympic Torch in Bedford

ICCM opens new training facilities to support staff development & training in Kettering

2014

ICCM supporting over 100 clients with a staff team of more than 450.  Services provided in the East Midlands; West Midlands & NW; London & the home counties
